Job Overview
A dynamic and ambitious leader is required to spearhead the growth of our sales and business development function. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for driving revenue expansion across Ireland, the UK, and globally.
About the Role
The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy, aligning with our company's goals and objectives. This will involve working closely with the marketing team to create a tailored marketing plan, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales and business development strategy to drive revenue growth.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to design and implement a targeted marketing plan.
- BUILD and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including supply chain partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Supervise and mentor staff as required, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the design and delivery departments to ensure seamless integration of products into all projects.
- Work closely with the commercial department to manage budgets, project commercials, and drive profitability.
- Attend engineering department meetings, progress meetings, and other relevant sessions as needed.
- Produce regular sales status reports and attend foreign and domestic conferences and tradeshows.
- Perform other duties as specified by the General Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Science, with suitable experience.
- Proven track record of delivering sales and profits.
- Experience selling technical products into the water industry.
- Knowledge of technical products in the pharma process would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work on multiple assignments.
- Excellent time management, communication, and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
- Strong regulatory knowledge within the water and wastewater industry.
- Good people skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Fully clean Irish/EU driving licence.
