A leading organization seeks an Employment Counsel to join its Global Legal Team. The Employment Counsel will provide expert legal advice and guidance to HR and business partners on employment law matters, resolve disputes and litigation, and ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.

This role involves serving as a primary point of contact for the HR team and business leaders, providing strategic advice on complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employment law, preferably with a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues into practical business advice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role, as the Employment Counsel will work closely with cross-functional teams.

  1. Serve as a key advisor to HR and business partners on employment law matters
  2. Manage employee disputes and litigation
  3. Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements
  4. Review and develop employment policies and procedures worldwide
  5. Develop and conduct employee training worldwide
  6. Conduct internal investigations on employment and non-employment matters
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Attorney/JD with admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of employment law experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of global employment laws, preferably including EMEA and/or APAC employment laws
  • Significant experience advising clients on compliance with employment laws and all aspects of the employment relationship
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex legal issues into practical business advice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teams
