Job Title: Dessert Expertise Role

The ideal candidate is a skilled dessert professional who enjoys working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients in a high-end setting.

As Dessert Expert / Confectioner, you will be responsible for producing high-quality desserts that showcase seasonal produce and align with the establishment's commitment to excellence. You will work closely with the Head Chef and culinary team to develop menus, maintain standards, and delight guests with innovative creations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and present an array of mouth-watering desserts to consistently high standards.

  • Develop recipes that incorporate seasonal and garden-fresh ingredients into pastry and dessert items.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and cohesive menu delivery.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene within the pastry kitchen.

  • Assist in menu planning and development of pastry and dessert items.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies when required.

  • Uphold the establishment's commitment to quality, creativity, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dessert Expert or Confectioner in a hotel, restaurant, or high-end bakery.

  • Passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and creative dessert-making.

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, bread-making, and dessert preparation.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility and creativity in developing new recipes.

  • Residency in Ireland and eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
