Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and routine maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Act as first responder for mechanical breakdowns on-site.
  • Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, and support process improvements.
  • Maintain and repair a range of systems, including motors, gearboxes, chain drives, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, mobile plant equipment, boilers, and drying kilns.
  • Manufacture or modify spare parts using milling, turning, welding, and other techniques.
Requirements
  • A time-served mechanical fitter with relevant qualifications in Mechanical Automation, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Toolmaking, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, ideally within heavy industry.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round in a fast-paced environment.
