Lead Detection Engineer Role Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced security professional.

As a Lead Detection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced threat detection systems to protect against sophisticated cyber threats and attacks.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex projects to design and implement advanced threat detection systems
  • Collaborating with team members to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Providing technical expertise to support the development and implementation of threat detection strategies

Required skills and qualifications include:

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in security and hands-on technical automation
  • 5+ years of experience creating use cases and detection-focused automation
  • Operational experience working directly with or in security operational teams including SOC, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response
  • Deep understanding of SOC, SIEM, and other engineering best practices
  • Demonstratable hands-on skills in a major scripting/programming language or search query language
