Senior Data Protection Specialist
The role of Senior Data Protection Specialist requires a deep understanding of data loss prevention technologies, leadership skills, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

About the Job:
This position involves overseeing the technical support team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing data loss prevention systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data loss prevention technologies and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of technical support engineers specialising in data loss prevention.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of support tickets and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Tuning and upgrading system components, following internal testing and change management processes.
  • Working with key stakeholders and vendors to implement new or additional data loss prevention capabilities to enhance risk-driven data protection.
  • Contributing to projects that improve current data loss prevention capabilities, drive adoption, and enable future growth.
  • Conducting root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing preventive measures.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to data loss prevention.
  • Partnering within the security teams to ensure our data loss prevention platforms meet operational needs.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of data loss prevention technologies and enterprise platforms.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience managing application deployments, configurations, and updates running on Linux operating systems.
  • Direct experience managing, mentoring, and leading teams.
  • A collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and improving security.
