About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering a Digital Transformation programme for a key Irish Government Regulatory Organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of solutions design/delivery and a deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Technology Stack, particularly Dynamics 365.

They will also have excellent client negotiating/consulting skills and experience working on an enterprise-level architectural solution for a government/public sector organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with the Solutions Architect required onsite approximately 2 days per week at our offices in South County Dublin.

The role involves Technical Leadership & Oversight, ensuring solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards. They will also be responsible for Governance & Compliance, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, IT strategies, and best practices.

  • Technical Leadership & Oversight: Advise on solution architecture, systems integration, and implementation. Validate and support supplier's architecture and design.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, IT strategies, and best practices. Guarantee compliance with security, data protection, and GDPR standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Project Delivery: Support project planning (activities, resources, timelines, costs). Ensure readiness for post-go-live operational management.
  • Quality Assurance: Review solution design for manageability, maintainability, robustness, and integration.
  • Technology Expertise: Apply knowledge across domains: Applications, Infrastructure, Integration, Security, and Data.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level degree or postgraduate qualification in IT, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.

Experience and technical requirements include:

  • Microsoft Professional Certification
  • 7+ years of experience in architectural design
  • Strong track record of working with the Microsoft Technology Stack, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Pages, Portal, or similar technologies
  • Experience of working as a technical architect on large system implementation projects
  • Experience of data migration projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Advantageous experience of working on large-scale solutions projects for Irish or other European government organisations
