System Infrastructure Professional

The System Infrastructure Professional will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing local area networks, wide area networks, firewalls, virtual private networks, wireless networks, and virtual infrastructure. This role will also involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues across servers, storage, and network devices, and maintaining and optimizing server environments to ensure high uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy secure and efficient network architecture that meets the organization's needs.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and optimize server environments to ensure high uptime and performance, including implementing backup and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives, including documentating network and system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in system infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching principles.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or AWS, are a plus.
  • Full driver's license required for travel.
