We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Reporting professional to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial information in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Canadian legal and regulatory requirements. This includes producing quarterly and annual Group Financial Statements, as well as analyzing revenue contracts and preparing financial information for accounting purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely quarterly and annual Group Financial Statements under IFRS
  • Analyze and report quarterly revenue results and research appropriate IFRS 15 accounting treatment for sales contracts
  • Research and analyze complex accounting issues and prepare accounting memos
  • Support the quarterly and annual external audit process and ensure completion of clean and timely audits
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with TSX stock exchange and Canadian public company rules, regulations, and statutory requirements
Requirements
  • Member of either the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • 4-5 years of PQE in a financial reporting role, with experience in preparing Financial Statements under IFRS and preferably with IFRS 15 software revenue experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting theory and demonstrated ability to apply theory in practice
  • Experience in multinational companies working with multiple international locations is desirable
  • Experience with a public company would be a significant advantage
