Strategic Service Leader

Aware seeks an experienced and strategic leader to join its Senior Management Team.

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee a motivated team of staff and volunteers, ensuring safe, effective service delivery.
  • The Director of Services will lead on governance, service quality, budget management, and strategic development, working closely with the CEO, Clinical Director, and other colleagues, along with external partners.
  • This is a unique opportunity for a senior leader who shares Aware's mission and brings a strong track record in service delivery, governance, and people leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, strategic leader with excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management experience, and a deep commitment to Aware's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing frontline service delivery to the public, ideally with large teams or volunteer networks.
  • Leading services operating under strict governance, compliance, or clinical guidelines.
  • Devising and implementing successful strategic change.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive professional experience, coming from a senior or leadership role.
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field such as mental health, social care, or health services.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit or mental health sector desirable but not essential.
