Senior Financial Accountant

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to assume a key role within our organisation.

This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in process improvement and a proven track record in financial operations and month-end reporting.

  1. Mentor and foster a high-performance culture within the junior finance team by providing guidance, support, and feedback.
  2. Manage the month-end close, statutory reporting, and financial consolidations to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  3. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, VAT/MTD submissions, and lease accounting to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  4. Act as a key contact for internal teams, auditors, and tax authorities to provide expert advice and support.
  5. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies through proactive monitoring and compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing financial data and analysis.
  • Manage statutory accounts through to sign-off to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain the Group lease management system to optimise efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
  • Standardise procedures and leverage automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual errors.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A qualified accountancy qualification with a minimum of 4 years post-qualified experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of process improvement and strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) and ERP systems, with experience optimising these tools.
