Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety within the site and monitor adherence to all relevant standards and procedures.
  • Effectively lead a team of operators to ensure production output targets are met, conduct regular meetings, and manage the maintenance team.
  • Monitor shift performance and drive the team to achieve relevant KPIs, including productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Work with the planning team to ensure plan fulfillment, throughput, and cost delivery.
  • Manage colleague performance, ensure team development, and maintain accurate training records.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with technical standards, change control, and incident reporting.
  • Support audits and customer visits, implementing actions arising from these activities.
  • Complete Oracle system requirements to maintain accurate financial data.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical skills with the ability to understand complex processes and rectify defects.
  • Strong results orientation with the ability to prioritise and organise work to meet production and bottom-line targets.
  • Confident decision-making and leadership skills, with personal responsibility for areas within your span of control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in leading and developing teams.
  • Proven ability to use core Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to drive improvement.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proven track record in changing work demands.
  • Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role, with a proven record in maintaining safe work environments.
  • Strong business acumen, customer focus, and commercially aware mindset.
  • Passion for continuous improvement in a fast-moving production environment.
  • Performance-driven with integrity and sound judgement.
