Senior Financial Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our specialist construction company. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for the entire accounting function, working closely with senior managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly management and annual statutory accounts, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • External and Internal Reporting: Handle accurate external and internal reporting, collaborating with stakeholders to meet local statutory requirements and group needs.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Process intercompany transactions with multiple related parties within the group, ensuring seamless financial integration.
  • Compliance and Audits: Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, foreign entity audits, and corporation tax, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Payroll and Compliance: Review the processing and recording of monthly payroll and reviewing payroll information prepared by outside providers for the group's foreign subsidiaries, managing compliance across various jurisdictions (Ireland, UK, and Netherlands).
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable to ensure client companies pay within contractual terms, maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for multiple internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, employees, and compliance agencies, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with over seven years of post-qualification experience in demanding roles, demonstrating expertise in cloud-based accounting systems and general ledger maintenance.
  • Public accounting training is desirable but not essential, with a focus on developing skills in financial analysis and strategic planning.
