Manufacturing Engineering Leader Position

As a Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and release of full manufacturing processes for new customer products.
  • Implement customer technical roadmaps and related process development projects.
  • Develop and implement cost-optimized processes using design for manufacturability (DFM) tools and methodologies.
  • Assess the capability of process applications using design of experiments.
  • Devise process controls and data collection strategies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Project Management: Ability to manage complex engineering projects and create project plans.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership behaviors as per organizational standards.
  • Financial Acumen / Business Planning: Create financial plans for projects and recognize profitability risks.
  • Technical Competencies: ESD Controls, Component Preparation, Laser Marking, Solder Paste Deposition, Stencil Design, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Reflow, Tooling Design, PTH Soldering, PTH Manual Assembly, Press Fit Assembly, Depanelization, Board Level Mechanical Assembly, Wire Harness Assembly, Wire Preparation, SMT Data Analytics, SMT / PTH Manual / Automated Rework, Cleaning Processes, Coating / Potting Underfill / Ruggedization Processes, Packaging and Shipping, Optical Component Assembly, Fiber / Tray Handling Processes, Fiber Splicing, IPC-610, Quality Data (KPI), Engineering Control & System Tools (ODC/SCE), Manufacturing Operational Management, DFM - Mfg, DFA, DFR, Customer-Specific Processes, Structural Test and Inspection Processes, Machining, Welding, CNC Programming, Secondary Processes, Sheet Metal, DFAA.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4+ years' relevant experience.
  • Relevant Medical Device AND/OR Automation experience preferred.
  • Experience in ISO13485 medical device manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Relevant project management experience and associated qualifications with NPI experience.
  • Ability to initiate and lead change, collaborate and create alignment, drive accountability, think critically, and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent customer management skills and knowledge of customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience of coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
