Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

This role plays a vital part in ensuring our organization's adherence to relevant laws and regulations. As a Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with the Head of Compliance to promote an organizational culture committed to integrity and ethical conduct.

  • You will monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the organization and support timely implementation of same.
  • Provide day-to-day advice, challenge and support to the business regarding compliance obligations arising under new initiatives, programs, products and services.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance with the preparation of compliance reports for Executive Management and Boards of Directors, as required.
  • Develop and deliver training to employees at all levels of the business on key compliance-related matters and topics.
  • Assist with regulatory fitness and probity applications and ensure adherence to the CBI Individual Accountability Framework.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory information and documentation requests, as required.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, as required.
  • Advise on licensing queries.
  • Carry out compliance monitoring and testing, as required.
  • Coordinate with corporate group compliance colleagues to ensure group-wide policies and requirements are implemented, as appropriate, and support group reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A professional certification in compliance or other relevant qualification.
  • A good understanding of Irish and wider European regulatory environment including CBI prudential and consumer requirements.
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills with good attention to detail and ability to produce consistently high-quality work.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and thrive in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and adapt to the needs of the business.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
