Assistant Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team in Cork. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and profit targets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of store operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Manage stock and cash control procedures, investigating and reporting variances as necessary
  • Develop and implement advertising, sales promotion, and display plans to drive sales growth
  • Manage controllable costs to maintain profitable operations
  • Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new employees in conjunction with the HR department
  • Organize special promotions, displays, and events
  • Deal with customer queries and complaints in accordance with company policies

Requirements:

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably within a fresh food environment
  • Experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
  • Strong people skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence
  • Strong work ethic
