Support Worker Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Worker.

The focus of this role will be to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to realise their vision for a good life through Person Centred approaches in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference.

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop valued social roles.
  • Provide opportunities for new experiences and assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual's support network to identify and achieve goals.
Requirements:
  • FETAC/ QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare or equivalent.
  • Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
  • Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs.
  • A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and creativity.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake roster covering various houses/locations.
