Specialist Medical Scientist Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Medical Scientist to fill a key position in our Cork, Ireland location.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all technical/scientific aspects of the work of the Department and ensuring our Quality Management System meets ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience in Molecular diagnostics and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing is required
  • Test method verification and validation will be performed by the successful candidate
  • Technical/scientific leadership of the Department is expected

Requirements

  • A postgraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Science is essential
  • Eligibility for Fellowship of The Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine is required
  • Registration with CORU is necessary
  • 4 years of experience in a Medical Laboratory role is preferred
