Human Resources Specialist Job Description

This role presents a new challenge for experienced HR professionals looking to take on a more significant responsibility or for those at HR Administrator level seeking to move up to a stand-alone HR role.

The Job

As a key member of the site-based team and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will cover a wide range of HR responsibilities including:

  • Representing the HR function locally
  • Planning HR strategies and projects across the site
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for employee relations queries
  • Managing recruitment and retention
  • Overseeing training and development activities
  • Updating employee files and implementing new HR processes and procedures

You will also be required to support general administration duties such as PO management, H&S reporting, organizing travel to/from site, and assisting with audits/compliance activities relevant to the above key duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree qualified in HR, business studies, or a related discipline
  • 2-3+ years' experience in an HR role, ideally gained in a Generalist type position
  • Excellent IT skills, including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver on HR duties
