Job Description

This role involves playing a key part in the delivery of various housing and regeneration projects across Ireland. The ideal candidate will have expertise in residential development schemes and experience working in cross-functional teams.

As Technical Design Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the LDA's design standards, assisting with technical requirements and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial acumen. You will need to think strategically and work closely with the development team to deliver high-quality projects that meet sustainability requirements and explore construction innovation.

Key responsibilities include reviewing engineered design solutions, supporting development optioneering analysis and standardising the approach to project development. You will also collaborate with internal and external teams to provide materials, products and systems solutions that meet agreed design briefs, costs and quality.

In addition, this role offers an opportunity to support wider business development and corporate strategy initiatives. The successful candidate will maintain the LDA's core values at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experienced design professional with at least 10 years' experience in the development lifecycle.
  • Recognised degree/diploma level qualification in construction or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish planning, development and construction sector technical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, use sound judgement and make informed decisions.
