Senior Electrical Design Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to lead various projects from an electrical perspective and be part of a multidiscipline team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy industrial engineering design, with particular emphasis on Data Centre or Pharmaceutical Design.

As a key member of our team, you will analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions. You will also provide support to fee and capital budget proposals as required. Additionally, you will assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring electrical engineering staff at junior levels, checking the work of other electrical engineers for accuracy and quality, and undertaking peer reviews. You will require extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor's representatives, and project field personnel. You will also attend and participate in client and company meetings.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A third-level degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 7 years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design, with particular emphasis on Data Centre or Pharmaceutical Design.
• Chartered or working towards chartered status.
• Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services.
• Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
• Commercially aware and able to undertake value engineering activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow, and discrimination studies using proprietary modeling software.
