Senior Substation Electrical Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced electrical design professional to lead our engineering team.
- This senior-level position involves ownership of substation electrical design, encompassing primary and secondary design, calculations, and procurement specifications.
Main responsibilities include:
- Electrical substation design leadership
- Team management and monitoring
- Reviewing and approving team submissions
- Supporting team members in projects as assigned
- Managing substation design projects when required
Key qualifications and experience for this role include:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in the field
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ePlan, and MS Office
- Experience with design studies and cable design software is advantageous
The ideal candidate should possess good knowledge of the substation, utilities, and renewables sector, with excellent client-facing skills and the ability to work independently. Experience with ESB/Eirgrid specifications and design requirements is desirable.
