Job Title: Pharmacy Support Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated pharmacy professional to support our Managing Pharmacist in the day-to-day operation of our dispensary.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and advancing their career in a fast-paced environment.

  • Dispense prescriptions in accordance with the Pharmacy Acts 2007 & 2008, maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict protocols.
  • Provide expert advice on over-the-counter medicines, ensuring compliance with counter-prescribing procedures and promoting customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and monitor stock levels, storage, and expiry dates, guaranteeing efficient inventory management.
  • Oversee Department of Health Schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS), including submissions and payment reconciliations, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Supervise the pharmacy in the absence of the Managing Pharmacist, demonstrating leadership skills and expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A registered pharmacist qualification from the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of statutory regulations.
  • Ability to work proactively and as part of a team, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills, providing personalized care and support to patients.
