Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our seismic research project. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining a temporary seismic network, analyzing its data for local seismicity monitoring and characterization.

The role involves seismic imaging of the top 5km of the crust using Ambient Noise Tomography and high-frequency Receiver Functions, as well as assessing the value of opportunistic Distributed Acoustics Sensing (DAS) acquisition and analysis as a complement to active Reflection Seismic surveys.

  • Deploy and maintain a temporary seismic network and analyze its data for local seismicity monitoring & characterization.
  • Seismic imaging of the top 5km of the crust using Ambient Noise Tomography and high-frequency Receiver Functions.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and deliver on project objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
  • Proven ability to install and maintain broadband seismic networks, handle seismic data, and perform seismic imaging.
