Our client is seeking a highly skilled ICT Project Manager to lead and manage their eMarketplace project. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, experience of implementing IT projects, and a strong understanding of formal methodologies such as PRINCE2 and ITIL.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and implement the eMarketplace project within time and budget.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders at a senior level to understand their business objectives and define and develop services that meet their business needs and expectations.
  • Manage third-party partner and supplier contracts for the delivery of products, projects, and services ensuring procurement compliance and value for money.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of assigned project staff members, which may include one or more managers responsible for delivery of individual services as well as technical and customer service staff.
  • Manage the team to ensure that specified services are delivered against service descriptions and service specifications, where necessary originating and agreeing these specifications and descriptions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with defined project and service management processes.
  • Ensure services and projects are aligned with standards in terms of architecture and security.
  • Manage UAT at each stage of the project for each project deliverable.
  • Manage user training to stakeholder groups as required.
  • Prepare budgetary proposals and manage all procurement.

Requirements:
  • Five years' experience working at an intermediate level in the area of IT or a related area.
  • Five years' experience of providing leadership in large organisations with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of successfully implementing two (2) IT projects in large and complex organisation(s) within budget and defined timelines.
  • Experience of leading collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change.
  • Experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services.
  • Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems.
  • Qualifications: Level 9 qualification in IT/Management or equivalent.

Skills Required:
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing IT/Finance related projects in large and complex organisations, of similar scale and nature, within budget and defined timelines.
  • Demonstrable experience of collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change, including managing stakeholder and supplier engagement.
  • Significant experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services.
  • Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of national procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Higher Education and Public sectors.
