Drainage Design Lead

The ideal candidate for this role will possess deep technical expertise, particularly in the Irish market. They will thrive in leadership roles where they mentor others and shape multidisciplinary projects.

You'll lead a geographically diverse team (Ireland, UK, and global offices) delivering drainage design services across all project stages. You'll be the expert for drainage design on highways and urban infrastructure projects ensuring technical excellence and compliance with Irish standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality drainage solutions for transportation and urban infrastructure projects
  • Lead complex drainage challenges across diverse projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the strategic growth of our drainage capability

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in drainage design for highways and urban environments
  • Strong knowledge of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) standards the SuDS Manual and other drainage guidance
  • Proven experience obtaining design approvals from Irish authorities
  • Proficiency in drainage modelling software and tools
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams and with clients
