Senior Drainage Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our drainage discipline, you will play a pivotal role in delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions across Ireland and beyond.

Job Description

About the Role:

As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technically robust drainage designs that meet client and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery. Your expertise in hydraulic modelling and drainage design software will help drive innovation and efficiency, while your mentorship of junior engineers will contribute to the continuous improvement of our drainage capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement drainage designs that meet client and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in their development
  • Apply sustainable design principles and innovative thinking to solve complex drainage challenges

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Certification:

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required. Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership is also preferred.

Experience and Skills:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in drainage design for highways and urban environments is required. Proficiency in drainage modelling software and tools, as well as strong understanding of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) standards and the SuDS Manual, is essential.

Personal Qualities:

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams and with clients is crucial for success in this role.
