Checkout Operator

Main purpose of the role:

To ensure seamless customer experience and operational efficiency at the checkout department.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to accurately operate a computerised till system with barcode scanner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer service.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties:

  • Adhere to company brand values by demonstrating genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and food quality.
  • Process transactions, weigh and price products, and check customers' ages for restricted items.
  • Operate store loyalty cards, coupons, and vouchers while maintaining accurate records.
  • Take payments and balance tills at the end of each shift.
  • Contribute to merchandising and maintaining high standards of store presentation.
  • Attend team meetings and implement learnings to enhance job performance.

About the Position:

We are seeking full-time staff to join our checkout team.

Candidates must be over 18 years old.

Shifts include mostly daytime hours between 8am and 10pm, with some flexibility around peak periods.

Shifts typically last 7.5 hours and occur 5 times a week across 7 days.
