Part-time Credit Controller & Office Administrator

The role of a Part-time Credit Controller & Office Administrator requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Credit Control Operations: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of credit control/accounts payable activities, building strong relationships with clients and their accounts teams to ensure timely payments while maintaining excellent customer relations.
  2. Accounting Application Management: Manage and maintain Sage Accounting application on a daily basis, processing and reconciliation of invoices, checking and posting of receipts, managing invoices promptly and accurately, preparation and issuing of monthly client statements, and updating of records.
  3. Debt Collection: Take a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors in a timely manner, evaluating new credit requests, reviewing customers' credit rankings with banks as necessary, setting up terms and conditions of credit in agreement and consultation with directors.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate re-payment plans with creditors as necessary.
  2. Liaise with outsourced debt collectors when deemed necessary to ensure payment.
  3. Keep records of contact made with debtors to help the business identify risky debtors and provide an audit trail for any legal action that might be necessary down the line.
  4. Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances.
  5. Provide general day-to-day and administrative support as required to the directors and office manager.
