Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair optimal equipment as required by preventative maintenance schedules and suggest improvements.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ensure spare parts in stock for all major process' and equipment.
  • Support production on a shift basis as required.
  • Continuous improvement of production process equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects that will improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
  • Coordination and liaison with vendors, site contractors and external specialist contractors, engaged in work on site
  • Perform maintenance in compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and accepted practices.
  • Reading, analysing and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, to carry out work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience of hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, grinding & milling machines
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of various machines with respect to maintenance and repair
  • Should have sufficient experience in pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanics, electrics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good team member skills
  • Well organised and ability to organise tasks
