Job Title:

A highly skilled inventory management professional is required to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows across receiving, picking, packing, dispatching, and inventory control.
  • Enforce health and safety standards; ensure all team members follow SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as order accuracy, lines per man-day, pick rates, and on-time dispatch; take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide training and support for staff development and career progression within the team.
  • Manage stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and support periodic stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with managers, transport teams, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination across functions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Sound understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and health and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret and act on performance data and KPIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Competency using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
