Inventory Data Specialist Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Data Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Data Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position with a permanent contract.
Responsibilities and Duties

As an Inventory Data Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

Cycle Counting

You will conduct regular cycle counts to ensure that all bins are completed on a monthly basis.

Liaising with Warehouse Staff

You will work closely with warehouse staff and other internal teams to facilitate the delivery and storage of stock.

Maintaining Inventory Records

You will maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

Stock Valuation Reports

You will conduct weekly reconciliations of stock valuation reports with the General Ledger accounting system.

Software Development

You will assist in the enhancement and development of the software that drives the inventory function.

Quality Control

You will conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that goods being dispatched to customers meet the required standards.

Purchasing Plans

You will be fully conversant with purchasing plans to ensure that sufficient warehouse space exists to manage peaks and troughs in the business.

Physical and NAV Stock Transfers

You will manage all physical and NAV internal stock transfers from warehouse to warehouse or bin to bin.

Stock Adjustments

You will execute all required stock adjustments through internal systems.

Annual Audit

You will participate in the process of stock verification and values for the annual company audit.

Item Dimension and Weight Information

You will maintain item dimension and weight information in the Navision system.

Order Delivery Method Information

You will review order delivery method information and suggest improvements for efficiency gains.

Excel Reporting

You will use Excel efficiently and effectively for reporting purposes.

Ad Hoc Projects

You will participate in ad hoc internal projects related to stock and inventory.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Actively participated in inventory audits.
  • A qualification in data analytics or purchasing/supply chain would be desirable.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Experience using Microsoft Navision desirable.
