Our client is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to oversee the coordination of external designers, consultants, and subcontractors. This role involves managing design data through BIM platforms, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of design information across major projects.
The position offers the opportunity to influence design outcomes, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- ">
- Coordinate external designers, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver compliant design information on time
- Manage design processes from tender to construction stage
- Oversee design data using BIM tools and ensure accuracy across the project team
- Review design submissions, track queries, and resolve technical challenges
- Chair and document design coordination meetings, ensuring actions are completed
- Liaise between design, project, and site teams to support buildability reviews
- Maintain accurate records of design decisions and approvals
- Support value engineering exercises to meet cost, programme, and quality objectives
- Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing across the organisation

- 3+ years' experience in design coordination or design management (main contractor experience preferred)
- Level 8+ qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of BIM tools, digital design coordination, and document control systems
- Good understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and design principles
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and BIM platforms
- Full, clean driver's licence
