Job Title: Executive Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic kitchen team in Galway.

About the Role:
  • Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food production, team supervision, quality control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff during service and in prep, ensuring consistent quality and presentation of dishes across all areas.
  • Help manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control, as well as assist in creating new menu items and daily specials.
  • Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance, fostering a collaborative, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To oversee and coordinate all kitchen operations, managing kitchen staff and resources efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus, implement food preparation methods and ensure consistency throughout the kitchen.
  • Implement effective systems for inventory control, ordering supplies and managing food costs to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and HACCP compliance, monitoring kitchen practices and enforcing regulations.
  • To mentor and train junior chefs, promoting career development and improving kitchen skills.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and direct kitchen staff effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations is essential, along with a creative approach to menu development.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
