We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill a challenging role within our team.

The successful candidate will provide support to individuals who require assistance to sustain their tenancy in the community.

The aim of this service is to offer a package of support which will reduce the likelihood of a family or individual losing their tenancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a dynamic team providing support services to vulnerable populations.
  • Carry out assessments of need for individuals referred to the service and develop care plans to meet these needs.
  • Visit clients in their local community and homes, providing tailored support packages as required.
  • Manage agreed packages of support for multiple clients, including early intervention, crisis, and settlement support.
  • Provide client-centred support, encouraging autonomy and independence.
  • Establish links with local services and relevant community groups, working closely with housing providers where necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to situations involving child protection and welfare concerns.
  • Liaise with project managers on a regular basis regarding issues arising from work with clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics in line with organisational policies.
  • Develop resource materials on services provided in areas of operation.
  • Collaborate with other Focus Ireland services to ensure effective delivery of support services.
  • Supervise volunteers, students, and support staff when required.
  • Contribute to the review, evaluation, and development of the project.
  • Prepare regular monthly reports for supervision or as requested by project managers.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • A third-level qualification in social care or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a social care setting.
  • Excellent understanding of child protection and welfare responsibilities.
  • Ability to conduct client risk assessments.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong advocacy skills, particularly for vulnerable populations.
  • Report writing and information technology skills are desirable.
