This role is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a supportive and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support, enabling service users to live their lives to the fullest potential through various services and activities.
Key Responsibilities:- A degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or equivalent qualification is required, along with eligibility for registration with CORU.
- Experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities is essential, demonstrating the ability to provide individualized support and guidance.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and supervise staff/service users in a residential setting.
- A full manual driving license is also required for this role.
- Meet the needs of service users by providing personalized support and care.
- Teach daily living and social skills through engaging activities and exercises.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users, promoting a sense of trust and well-being.
- Engage in various activities and complete household tasks as part of the role.
- Maintain accurate records of service user documentation and adhere to organizational policies.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management, contributing to the smooth operation of the service.
