**System Design Position Overview:**

Clinical system designers play a crucial role in the development of clinical systems. They work as part of a team to design, build, and maintain complex systems.

**Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for design-related questions during study setup.
  • Ensuring understanding and adherence to study protocols and scope of work.
  • Tracking issues that may affect project target dates, scope, or budget, and escalating problems effectively.
  • Consolidating high-level system requirements documents and managing their review.
  • Developing custom CRF screens, edit checks, and dynamic check specification documents using prototyping methodologies.
  • Performing quality control peer reviews of database-related specifications and recording comments.
  • Leading eCRF and other specification review meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining standard libraries for study components.
  • Assisting in the development of materials for bid defense processes and client demonstrations.
  • Obtaining required approvals for the release of system components to live/production environments.
  • Reviewing activities to identify out-of-scope tasks and bringing them to the attention of the CSL.
  • Maintaining meeting minutes, issue logs, and decision records.

**Leadership Opportunities:**

As a clinical system designer, you will have the opportunity to lead junior team members and contribute to process improvement and value creation.

**Travel Requirements:** Approximately 10% domestic and/or international travel.

**Requirements:** Typically requires 3+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

**Problem Solving & Impact:** Problems are related but not obvious; analysis is required to identify and define problems.

**Interpersonal Skills:** Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills are required, as well as strong cross-team communication.
