Lead Environment and Planning Practice

A senior legal director or partner is required to spearhead a fast-developing environment and planning practice from Dublin. This strategic role is perfect for an ambitious planning and infrastructure consenting lawyer ready to take ownership of a practice area, supported by one of the strongest real estate, energy, and infrastructure teams in the Irish and UK markets.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a cross-border planning and environmental law team, advising clients on regulatory consents, planning strategy, environmental law, and litigation risk. They will collaborate with colleagues across real estate, energy, and M&A teams to deliver commercially driven, solutions-focused advice to private and public sector clients.

As a leader in our environment and planning practice, you will be responsible for managing judicial review and regulatory enforcement processes, supervising junior solicitors, and contributing to thought leadership in planning and environmental law. Your experience in advising on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or real estate developments will be invaluable in this role.

To succeed in this position, you should be a qualified solicitor with 5-7+ years' PQE in planning, environmental, or consenting law. You should have a strong track record of delivering high-quality results, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in planning, environmental, or consenting law.
  • Experience in advising on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or real estate developments.
