We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced part-time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at GPC Finance. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  2. Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions on a regular basis.
  3. Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
  4. Support the finance team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  5. Manage invoices and process payments efficiently.
  6. Provide expert advice on financial matters and handle queries related to financial transactions.
  7. Ensure all accounting processes are aligned with industry standards and regulations.
  8. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Relevant certification such as Accounting Technician or IPASS (Irish Payroll Association).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
