Job Title: ICT Project Manager

Job Description

The ICT project manager will be responsible for delivering and implementing the eMarketplace project within time and budget. The successful candidate will lead a team of project staff members, working with relevant stakeholders to understand their business objectives and define services that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and implement the eMarketplace project within time and budget.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to understand their business objectives and develop services that meet their needs.
  • Manage third-party partner and supplier contracts to ensure procurement compliance and value for money.
  • Lead and manage a team of assigned project staff members.
  • Ensure specified services are delivered against service descriptions and specifications.
  • Carry out activities in compliance with defined project management processes (e.g., PRINCE2 and ITIL).
  • Align services and projects with standards in terms of architecture and security.
  • Manage UAT at each stage of the project for each deliverable.
  • Manage user training to stakeholder groups as required.

Experience Required:

  • Five years' experience working at an Intermediate level in IT or a related area.
  • Five years' experience of providing leadership in large organisations with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience of successfully implementing two IT projects in large and complex organisations within budget and timelines.
  • Experience of leading collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners.
  • Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems (e.g., Agresso Milestone 7).
  • Qualifications: Level 9 qualification in IT/Management or equivalent.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of implementing IT/finance-related projects in large and complex organisations, collaboration across organisational boundaries, and significant experience working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL). They will also have a working knowledge of IT architecture for finance enterprise systems and understanding of national procurement processes.
