We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of automated manufacturing systems, ensuring reliability, capacity, and quality targets are met. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing the efficacy, robustness, and reliability of controls, sensor, and inspection hardware/software solutions, proposing improvements where necessary.

You will provide technical leadership and support to the improvement, installation, start-up, validation, and transfer of replicant automated manufacturing equipment relative to machine controls (hardware and software), sensors, and machine vision. Additionally, you will oversee the resolution of technical issues related to controls, machine vision, servo systems, and various sensor technologies used in automated manufacturing and test equipment.

This position requires a strong background in implementing and supporting controls systems, HMI's, sensor technology, servo drive technology, and machine vision systems into automated manufacturing equipment. High volume manufacturing experience is highly desired. You should have excellent technical problem-solving and risk management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to fast-moving and changing environments.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years of experience. Strong technical leadership and collaborative skills are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.

The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to travel to other supplier and/or manufacturing sites, if necessary. Six Sigma training and Belt certification are highly desirable.
