Mental Health Therapist

This role presents an opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused, evidence-based psychological care to adults experiencing various mental health challenges.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including clinical interviews, psychometric testing, and structured observations, to develop a profound understanding of clients' difficulties.
  • Formulate sophisticated psychological explanations of clients' issues, drawing on diverse theoretical models.
  • Provide individual and group-based therapeutic interventions (e.g. CBT, DBT-informed approaches, ACT, schema therapy, psychoeducation) tailored to meet clients' unique needs.
  • Support clients in establishing recovery-oriented goals and treatment plans.
  • Offer family and carer support sessions when necessary.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a Mental Health Team to promote recovery, enhance well-being, and minimize the impact of mental health difficulties on service users and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Formulation

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' needs and develop effective intervention plans.

Treatment and Intervention

  • Deliver individual and group-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet clients' specific requirements.
  • Support clients in achieving their recovery-oriented goals and treatment plans.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and enhance well-being.
  • Minimize the impact of mental health difficulties on service users and their families.
