We are currently looking for a professional to take on the role of Healthcare Advisor within our pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert medical advice.

About the Role

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be required to provide product information and advice to customers across all product ranges in the pharmacy. You will also be responsible for maintaining good stock control, including rotation of stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and ensuring that delivery details are correct.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide product information and advice to customers, consulting with the Managing Pharmacist as necessary
  2. Maintain good stock control, including rotation of stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and ensuring that delivery details are correct
  3. Deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times, enhancing the relationship with pharmacy customers
  4. Work effectively as part of the pharmacy team, being flexible and adaptable, assisting in all areas of the pharmacy operation as required by the Managing Pharmacist
  5. Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with colleagues at all times
  6. Fulfil requests for specific over-the-counter medicines appropriately, using WWHAM questioning and recommending suitable medicines referring to the pharmacist where necessary
  7. Vigilantly adhere to correct procedures regarding security and handling of cash and receipts within the pharmacy
  8. Ensure the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy, bringing any health and safety issues promptly to the attention of the Pharmacy Manager
  9. Participate in training and development programs provided by the pharmacy, proactively developing the job function

Requirements

  1. 1 year's experience in pharmacy/retail/hospitality, preferably with cashier experience
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  3. Ability to use discretion when addressing customer queries, treating customer/patient information confidentially
  4. Good attention to detail, organised with proven ability to multi-task successfully under pressure
  5. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  6. Basic IT skills are an advantage
