At Playrix, we're seeking a talented Translator to join our team in Ireland. As a native Japanese speaker with excellent English skills, you'll play a vital role in translating mobile games and related content for millions of players worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to adapt game texts from English to Japanese with precision. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our games are engaging and authentic for players across different regions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translation and cultural adaptation of game texts from English to Japanese
  • Meeting translation quality, speed, and deadline requirements
  • Post-editing machine translation
  • Collaborating with editors, development teams, and other translators
  • Creating and maintaining up-to-date documentation for assigned projects
  • Handling feedback on translation quality

Requirements:

  • Native fluency in Japanese, both written and spoken
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Background in linguistics, translation, and/or localization is preferred
  • Gaming experience and interest in mobile technology
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking, creativity, and commitment to quality
