Effective risk underwriting is essential to ensure the financial stability of motor products.

About the Role

This opportunity requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in underwriting, actuarial or analytics functions with strong analytical, financial, research and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and influencing abilities.

  • Key performance metrics will be communicated to all aspects of the business monthly and quarterly.
  • The effectiveness of product change strategies will be tracked to ensure sales, growth and profitability objectives are achieved.
  • Liaison will be established with the actuarial pricing team to produce rate change analysis for smooth deployment of rate adjustments across all motor products.
  • Valuable insights will be generated from telematics data to drive growth and profitability.
  • Actual to expected result measurement will be communicated regularly to the underwriting team.
  • Rich data feeds will be enriched by collaborating with the motor underwriting team for effective risk underwriting on new and renewing business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support will be provided to the business with financial budget creation, providing granularity and updating quarterly estimate process.
  • Best practices for Portfolio Management tools, processes and techniques will be identified, distributed and implemented.
  • Business line adherence to all policies, guidelines and procedures will be ensured.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical, financial, research and problem-solving skills will be required.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities will be necessary.
  • Ability to work independently, challenge status quo and promote new solutions will be expected.
  • Strong ability to work with different sources of information and large volumes of data will be required.
