Preventative Maintenance Specialist

The preventative maintenance specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of plant equipment.

  • Carry out routine inspections and monitor equipment condition to identify potential issues.
  • Implement planned mechanical & electrical maintenance programs using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Calibrate and test alarms, instrumentation, and plant systems to ensure accurate readings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical installations, including panel fault finding and variable speed drive replacement.
Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with contractors and production teams to complete tasks safely and on time.
  • Partner with colleagues to optimize equipment performance and meet performance targets.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Relevant mechanical qualification, preferably with electrical or instrumentation experience.
  • Multiskilled/multidisciplinary mindset to handle complex tasks.
  • Previous experience in facilities or high-volume manufacturing maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
