Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and adaptable Technical Inspector to support our Technical Services team in providing best-in-class customer service.

This role will form part of the dynamic Technical Services team and will report to the Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections at NCT Testing Centres, ensuring tests are conducted to the highest standards and in line with documented procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inspections at NCT Testing Centres
  • Ensuring test equipment produces uniform readings
  • Producing reports following inspections

Additional responsibilities may include providing support to the business in other tasks, projects, and areas as they arise.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years mechanic experience
  • Qualified LCV Mechanic/Technician Level 6 qualification
  • Experience dealing with business and public customers essential

Strong level of competence with MS Office and excellent planning, organisational, communication, and teamwork skills are also required.

Adaptability, flexibility, resilience, and ability to engage and converse successfully with customers are essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a mechanic
  • Qualified LCV Mechanic/Technician Level 6 qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You should be able to demonstrate a strong level of competence in MS Office and possess excellent planning, organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
