Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing an integrated suite of processes and systems that support the Actuarial Function with an efficient, reliable, robust, and scalable platform.

This role requires a deep understanding of actuarial reporting processes, data management, and analysis. The successful candidate will have experience operating in an actuarial environment, preferably in an insurance or reinsurance company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a clear vision for an integrated suite of modern actuarial reporting processes that enables the Actuarial Function to produce deliverables efficiently.
  • Work with the Actuarial teams, Actuarial Senior Management, and relevant subject matter experts to design and develop the optimal suite of processes and systems (the solution) to produce deliverables.
  • Develop coordinated work plans to deliver the solution and provide accurate estimates for effort and timelines.
  • Communicate the vision and execution strategy to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant experience operating in an actuarial environment in an insurance or reinsurance company.
  • Relentless passion for success and making an impact.
  • Demonstrated experience across some of the following:

-Data management and analysis, cash flow modelling and actuarial reporting.

-Developing finance and actuarial systems, the software development lifecycle and change management.

-Working on process improvement initiatives (including delivering project timetables and communicating progress to stakeholders), agile ways of working and long-term project management.

  • Extensive experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, VBA, R, SQL, Prophet, DCS, Power BI and knowledge of other modern programming languages.
  • A demonstrated ability to:

-Apply critical thinking, solve problems, and make decisions effectively and efficiently.

-Plan and organise work, manage time effectively and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
