Regional Care Quality Lead
This is a key leadership role that shapes care standards, ensures compliance, and drives continuous improvement across multiple nursing homes. As a Regional Care Quality Lead, you will work closely with Nursing Home Managers to champion best practice, regulatory excellence, and resident-focused care.
The role involves leading the development and implementation of quality and governance initiatives across the group. You will ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, drive continuous improvement, and promote a culture of learning and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Persons in Charge (PICs) in maintaining high standards of care and compliance
- Implement quality assurance systems, audits, and improvement plans
- Act as subject matter expert on governance, compliance, and regulatory updates
- Conduct audits across homes, provide feedback, and oversee corrective actions
- Review and implement policies and procedures across the group
- Mentor PICs and staff in clinical governance and compliance best practices
- Monitor safeguarding, incident reporting, risk registers, and complaints
- Prepare quality and compliance reports for senior management and the board
- Contribute to strategic planning and service excellence initiatives
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current registration
- Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality improvement, or clinical governance
- 3–5 years' experience in a healthcare quality, governance, or compliance role
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred care frameworks
- Experience in auditing, risk management, and compliance reporting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel
