Automation Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Dublin. This key role involves working on complex automation projects, designing and implementing control systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC Engineering: Expertise in Siemens S7 PLCs, including functional safety design, programming in CFC, SCL, and F Systems Charts, and configuring standard and safety communications.
  • Project Leadership: Leading small to mid-sized automation projects from concept through validation, with full responsibility for planning, execution, and issue resolution in control systems and site operations.
  • Design & Standards Compliance: Developing system specifications, standard procedures, and risk mitigation strategies in line with industry norms.
  • Testing & Qualification: Creating and executing FAT, SAT, and qualification protocols for new systems and upgrades, supporting system validation and performance assurance.
  • Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement initiatives and coaching junior engineers, contributing to knowledge transfer and sustained performance gains.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree and/or master’s in Engineering or Science

• Experience in automation engineering/maintenance and/or operations

• Strong control system and automation skills, especially in Siemens technologies

• Skills: PLC S7 Automation SCADA Systems
